Big progress today! Got the power strip set up under the desk which required drilling a big hole in some plywood, that was fun. Amazing how just plugging in a power strip ended up taking 30 minutes of searching for tools and accessing the outlet. After being thwarted by stripped screws, I managed to get the first wall of the darkroom up. Spent the rest of the evening putting together the washout booth that arrived today. The washout booth was kind of a pain to get together but didn’t pass the threshold of ‘way too annoying’ and I got it done. Tomorrow the print shop has the day off because I’ll be with Youth Crew, but on Sunday I am going to do my best to finish the darkroom walls and hang up the big lights over the printing counter. I still have hope that, other than the water, I’ll have everything set up by April 1st; the self-imposed deadline.
